PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To output a calculated value in such a manner that a combination selective index value or an allowable weight of a combination weight is set so as to automatically estimate and calculate out a range between allowable upper and lower weight limits achieved by the set combination selective index value and/or the allowable weight. SOLUTION: In this combination balance, on the basis of a weight distribution of individual articles in which preliminarily collected weights represent a normal distribution, some kinds of simulated combination weights are generated, and a simulated combination weight that belongs to each assumed range between allowable upper and lower weight limits regulated by a common allowable lower limit weight and a plurality of different assumed allowable upper limit weights and is near the allowable lower limit weight in the simulated combination weights, is selected. In the selected simulated combination weights, an assumed allowable upper limit weight that is in the assumed range between allowable upper and lower limits having an allowable weight which is greater than the allowable lower limit weight and is equal to or approximately equal to a predetermined allowable weight, is output.
