PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To propose a carbon dioxide injection well which can be constructed easily and in which the increase of the pore water pressure in the ground can be kept to a minimum and to provide a method for injecting carbon dioxide into the ground. SOLUTION: The carbon dioxide injection well 1 has an injection passage 2 and a drainage passage 3, which are isolated from each other, on the inside thereof. The method for injecting carbon dioxide 40 into the ground by using the carbon dioxide injection well 1 comprises the steps of: injecting the carbon dioxide 40 sent through the injection passage 2 into the ground through an injection hole 21 formed at the tip of the carbon dioxide injection well 1; and pumping up the ground water 50, which flows in the carbon dioxide injection well 1 through a decompression hole 22 formed at the tip of the carbon dioxide injection well 1 and below the injection hole 21, through the drainage passage 3.
