MICRO-EXTRUSION PRINTHEAD WITH NOZZLE VALVES

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the treatment of an edge of a grid electrode formed by extruding the print, in a solar cell. SOLUTION: Valve structures 190-1, 2 are placed on a printhead assembly 100, having outflow holes 169-1 to 5 which flows out a grid electrode material. Each valve structure ca...

Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the treatment of an edge of a grid electrode formed by extruding the print, in a solar cell. SOLUTION: Valve structures 190-1, 2 are placed on a printhead assembly 100, having outflow holes 169-1 to 5 which flows out a grid electrode material. Each valve structure can selectively open/close a nozzle flow path communicated with each outflow hole. The valve structure is moved by a valve control means 192 to open/close the nozzle flow path; and when each outflow hole is located at a predetermined position on a substrate, the electrode material flows out and print lines 44-2 to 5 are printed on the substrate of solar cell 41 to form the grid electrode.
