Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a long-service life lead storage battery in which service life reduction is suppressed, even if used under conditions that is subjected to vibrations. SOLUTION: In the lead storage battery equipped with an electrode plate group in which a positive electrode plate equipped with an expand grid, and a negative electrode plate housed in a bag-shaped separator are overlapped alternately, a plurality of first vertical ribs are formed at the center part of an outer surface of the bag-shaped separator at protrusion height T1, and a second vertical rib is formed at a part opposite to a side part of the positive electrode plate at protrusion height T2, where, T2<T1, T2≥0.2 mm or more, and, preferably, 0.4 T1≤T2≤0.90 T1, and where it becomes possible to obtain the long-service life lead acid storage battery even if subjected to vibrations.
