PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transmission belt capable of restraining sufficiently a clearance between elements from being expanded with the lapse of time. SOLUTION: This transmission belt includes the plurality of plate-like elements 24 arrayed adjacently with a plurality thereof thickness-directionally densely and annularly along a hoop 22, a thickness-directional absolute dimensional change of the element 24 is restrained by compensating a thickness-directional dimensional reduction caused by friction of the element 24, with a time-lapse dimensional increase due to a secular deformation of the element 24, since the first press part 28, the second press part 30 and a locking edge part 32 of the element 24 are constituted of metal of increasing a dimension along a thickness direction with the lapse of time, and the clearance between elements 24 is sufficiently restrained thereby from being expanded with the lapse of time.
