Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oral composition rapidly moistening the dried inside of the oral cavity, allowing water to penetrate into dried stain to facilitate the cleaning, preventing the dryness by heightening the retentivity of the composition in the oral cavity, and having viscosity sufficient for fixing an active ingredient such as a humectant. SOLUTION: The oral composition contains agar, and one or more kinds of thickeners, especially one or more kinds of the thickeners selected from the group consisting of carboxymethylcellulose sodium, sodium alginate and xanthan gum, and has viscosity of 10,000-50,000 mPa s at 25°C.
