Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a boosting circuit which dispenses with a high-voltage withstanding transistor. SOLUTION: The boosting circuit includes: a boosting part 10 which outputs an output voltage obtained by boosting an input voltage on the basis of an inputted timing signal from an output terminal; an outputting capacitor Co; a snubber circuit SNB of a two terminal structure constituted of an RC series circuit; an output charge controlling switching element Qo which controls conductivity between the output terminal of the boosting part 10 and a first electrode do1 of the capacitor Co; and a snubber circuit controlling switching element Qs which is connected to the snubber circuit SNB in series thereto, and controls conductivity between the output terminal of the boosting part 10 and one end of the snubber circuit SNB. The outputting capacitor Co charges the output voltage from the boosting part 10 at the time of the conduction of the switching element Qo, and the series circuit of the snubber circuit SNB and the switching element Qs is connected to the switching element Qo in parallel therewith.
