Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide water-based ink for inkjet recording having superior robustness such as light resistance and ozone resistance of a recorded object and superior storage stability. SOLUTION: The water-based ink for inkjet recording contains a coloring agent and water. The coloring agent contains a dye represented by the following general formula (1), and a dye stabilizer. The dye stabilizer contains a substance having a structure in which a carbon atom and a nitrogen atom are covalently bound. In general formula (1), R1, R2, Y1and Y2each represents a monovalent group and R1, R2, Y1, Y2may be the same or different from one another; X1and X2each represents an electron attractive group and X1and X2may be the same or different from each other; Z1and Z2each represents a hydrogen atom, a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl group, a substituted or unsubstituted alkenyl group, a substituted or unsubstituted alkynyl group, a substituted or unsubstituted aralkyl group, a substituted or unsubstituted aryl group, or a substituted or unsubstituted heterocyclic group, and Z1and Z2may be the same or different from each other; and M represents a hydrogen atom or a cation.
