Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily detect a burr of an electrode plate likely to become a cause of short circuit between a cathode and an anode during conveyance of the electrode plate in a conveyance means. SOLUTION: A retaining means 4 for retaining a nonwoven curtain 3 wider than an electrode plate 11 is arranged in a midway of a conveyance roller conveyer 2 for conveying the electrode plate 11. The nonwoven curtain 3 is hung down so to contact with an upper face 11a of the electrode plate 11. If there is a burr S protruding from the upper face 11a of the electrode plate 11, the burr S hooks the curtain 3 to release retaining by the retaining means 4. Then, if there is a burr S on the electrode plate 11, it is conveyed as the nonwoven curtain 3 is being hooked and the nonwoven curtain 3 is detected by a detecting sensor 5 as an electrode plate with a burr.
