Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a touch panel device for decreasing damage in a substrate configuring a touch panel or the deformation of the touch panel even for a case where external stress such as an impact is applied. SOLUTION: The touch panel device includes: a touch panel 110 that includes a first substrate 111, a second substrate 112 that is arranged so as to face the first substrate with a gap interposed therebetween, an extension outer edge portion 111a that is arranged in the first substrate and is formed so as to be extended to the outer side relative to an outer edge portion of the second substrate, and position detecting structures 113 and 114 that are arranged in an area in which the first substrate and the second substrate overlap each other; and a frame body 140 that includes an opening portion 140a used for exposing the second substrate of the touch panel to the operation side, wherein an opening edge portion 140b of the opening portion is overlapped with the extension outer edge portion, and the opening edge portion 140b directly or indirectly supports the extension outer edge portion 111a from the second substrate side 112.
