WATCH INCLUDING BUILT-IN MICROPHONE IN WATCHCASE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a watch including a microphone built in a watchcase. SOLUTION: The watch (1) includes the microphone (16) disposed in the watchcase (2); a band (3) having two ends connected to upper and lower side faces of the watchcase; and at least one through-hole (7), formed in a sidewall (12) of the watchcase. The through-hole defines a first sound-wave guide passage and leads to the watchcase inside in the direction of the microphone. The microphone is connected to a sound-wave processing unit circuit (19) in the watchcase for voice recognition. Additionally, the watch includes an audible-sound guide member (6), having a second sound-wave guide passage open to be in direct contact with an outer surface of a sidewall of the watchcase over a region (13) that extends to each side of the hole so as to guide the sound waves to the first passage. The audible-sound guide member may be formed at an end of the band. In this way, whatsoever an interference from the echo at a depression, an end or a surface in the region near the hole can be removed or attenuated. COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
