Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a rubber composition with reduced viscosity, improved moldability, and reduced hysteresis loss of the rubber composition compounded with natural rubber. SOLUTION: The method includes adding to a natural rubber latex at least one organic compound selected from formaldehyde, paraformaldehyde, formalin, and glyoxal to liberate protein from a rubber particle in the natural rubber latex; drying the rubber latex along with the liberated protein to produce modified natural rubber; and mixing the modified natural rubber with at least one selected from carbon black and silica.
