SOLUTION: The recording device 1 includes: a recording part 4 performing a recording operation on a sent recording medium; a device body 2 having the recording part 4; a discharge stacker 20 placing the recording medium discharged from the device body 2; and a flexible member 71 forming a side-viewing closed region A by connecting a downstream end 24 in the discharge direction of the discharge stacker to the device body 2a(2) in a position in a placing direction above the downstream end in the discharge direction of the discharge stacker.
