Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lightweight, thin, and small decorated molded article for an optical device, in which a decorated layer expresses a design effect and an effect for shielding the light of a light source. SOLUTION: In the decorated molded article for the optical device, the upper center of a transparent molded resin layer includes a transparent window, the decorated layer for shielding the light of the light source is formed in the upper outer frame of the transparent molded resin layer, and a space for installing the light source in a lower part of the decorated layer of the transparent molded resin layer is provided. The decorated molded article for the optical device is formed so that the light generated from the light source may propagate into the transparent molded resin layer through total reflection. In the method for producing the same, a transfer sheet in which the decorated layer is formed on a base sheet is formed, the transfer sheet is set in an injection molding mold and clamped, a molten transparent injection molding resin is filled in the injection molding mold from the side of forming the decorated layer of the transfer sheet, and after being cooled, the decorated layer is formed on the upper side of the transparent molded resin layer by opening the injection molding mold and detaching the base sheet.
