Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vibration damper which has a high damping performance in a wide frequency even in a vibration having the frequency varying from a high frequency to a low frequency and is not affected by the direction of the vibration, and an erecting member with superior damping property. SOLUTION: This vibration damper 1 includes a plurality of containers whose bottom inner walls have curved surfaces, and a plurality of granular substances 22 are movably stored in each container. The radius of curvature of the bottom surface of at least one container among the plurality of containers is different from the radii of curvature of the other containers.
