Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a patient position monitoring device to output an alarm signal if a patient position is changed when performing surgery or treatment wherein the patient position must be fixed. SOLUTION: The patient position monitoring device 100 comprises a position guide member 10 irradiating a source and a plurality of guide markers 20 detecting the irradiated source from the position guide member 10 and transmitting the detected information to the position guide member 10. The position guide member 10 determines whether a position of the guide marker 20 is changed on the basis of the detected information. The patient position monitoring device 100 can monitor the changes in the position of the patient 70 without allowing a user to continuously observe the patient 70 since an alarm signal is generated when the source irradiated from the position guide member 10 gets out of a region of the guide marker 20 due to the changes of a position of the patient 70.
