Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solenoid valve capable of enlarging a flat region having a suction characteristic. SOLUTION: A yoke 21 and a core 23 in a solenoid 12 are connected to each other by a guide 24, and a plunger 31 is housed in the yoke 21 and the core 23. A slide-contact part of an outside surface of the plunger 31 with an inside surface of the core 23 constitutes a magnetism delivery part, and the core 23 sucks the plunger 31 to move it upward. A tip of the plunger 31 is formed with a step by providing a projection smaller in diameter than a plunger general part 71. A base end of the core 23 is formed with a projection 91 to form a small-diameter part 92 smaller in diameter than a core general part 81. When starting to suck the plunger 31, a first suction region 85 is formed in a part wherein an outside surface 82 of the plunger general part 71 and an inside surface 33 of the core general part 81 come close to each other or are brought into slide-contact with each other, and after sucking the plunger 31 and moving it, a second suction region 101 is formed in a part, wherein the outside surface 82 of the projection 72 and the inside surface 33 of the small-diameter part 92 come close to each other or are brought in slide-contact with each other.
