Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that a brake control device conventionally has a configuration in which deceleration and a pedal reaction force depend on a brake pedal input by a driver, and a pedal feeling and ride comfort of a vehicle resulting from a deceleration feeling are affected by operation by the driver. SOLUTION: A brake control device having a brake booster for accelerating and decelerating a vehicle includes: a pedal reaction force generating part that allows a brake pedal 2 to generate a pedal reaction force; and a brake control part that controls the brake force so as to suppress variations in brake input by a driver. The pedal reaction force generating part suppresses variations in pedal reaction force in accordance with prescribed deceleration and pedal reaction force characteristics. The brake control device also includes a calculation part for calculating target deceleration on the basis of lateral acceleration information in the vehicle right/left direction. The brake control part controls the brake force so as to achieve the target deceleration. When the step-on amount of a brake pedal reaches a prescribed amount with respect to the target deceleration, the pedal reaction force generating part may increase a pedal reaction force.
