Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a temperature type expansion valve capable of preventing the unstable operation of a refrigerating cycle affected by an outside air temperature. SOLUTION: A temperature sensitive bar 52b is connected to a diaphragm 53b displaced in accordance with a pressure difference between the internal pressure of a filling space 20 filled with a temperature sensitive medium of which the pressure is changed according to the temperature and the pressure of a refrigerant made to flow out from an evaporator 6, and a columnar space 10 communicating with the filling space 20 is formed in the temperature sensitive bar 52b. A small cross section forming part 52d for reducing an axial cross section of a portion of the columnar space 10 compared to an axial cross section of the other portion is provided in the temperature sensitive bar 52b. Thus, this can suppress a change in the saturation pressure of the temperature sensitive medium in the columnar space 10 and the filling space 20 by suppressing the fall of the temperature sensitive medium brought into a supercooled liquid phase state in the filling space 20 at a low outside temperature to the inside of the columnar space 10. As a result, the malfunction of the expansion valve and the unstable operation of the refrigerating cycle affected by outside air temperature can be prevented. COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
