Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for preventing overheat of a DPF of a diesel engine, effectively preventing overheat of the DPF and preventing sintering of a catalyst and melt loss of the filter. SOLUTION: The device 10 for preventing overheat of the DPF of the diesel engine 1 equipped with the diesel particulate filter (DPF 3) includes a DPF cooling device 12 (for instance a jacket 12a) cooling the DPF 3 with a cooling medium, piping 14 supplying the cooling medium of the diesel engine 1 to the DPF cooling device, and a temperature control device 20 controlling a flow control valve 16 provided in the piping.
