Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an image with high definition without fuzziness and image blur, regardless of who operates, in fetching static images of each part of a face. SOLUTION: The magnification imaging device includes: a buffer memory (11) which fetches image signals at intervals of predetermined time from the photographing start to the photographing end in fetching an image with an observation hole (3) formed in an observation head (2) abutted on an object to be observed; an evaluation value calculating means (13) for calculating a definition evaluation value based on the image signal each time a new image signal is input to the buffer memory (11); and an image selecting means (15) for recording the first image signal whose definition evaluation value is calculated in a frame memory (14), and comparing a definition evaluation value (CVn) of a new image signal with a definition evaluation value of an image signal (Gm) recorded in the frame memory (14) to save an image with a higher definition evaluation value in the frame memory each time a new image signal (Gn) is input.
