Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a boot band mounting structure and mounting method simplifying structure after mounting boot bands to a boot, improving work efficiency in mounting the boot bands to the boot and improving sealing property of the boot. SOLUTION: The boot band 20 is mounted and fixed into a boot fitting groove 24 of a large diameter end 17 of the boot 16, and the boot band 21 is mounted and fixed into a band fitting groove 25 of a small diameter end 18. The boot bands 20, 21 are inserted outside in contact with the boot ends 17, 18 by being fitted into the boot fitting grooves 24, 25 of the boot ends 17, 18, and then the boot bands 20, 21 are inserted in cylindrical heating media X and simultaneously heated at the same temperature for the same time in the entire circumferential length to reduce diameters.
