Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engine with a variable valve train capable of improving combustion stability during a low lift such as during idling in which a maximum lift amount of an intake valve is small. SOLUTION: By providing a groove 116 on the surface of an umbrella part 117 of the intake valve 107, a normal tumble flow or a reverse tumble flow is generated in a combustion chamber 104 by increasing the strength of airflow in one direction during a low lift, so that an appropriate air-fuel mixture can stably exist around an ignition plug 112.
