PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a seat belt from bothering an occupant sitting on a rear seat or the like, and to allow the occupant to easily wear the seat belt. SOLUTION: A seat belt device includes: the seat belt 8 with one end rewound on the side of a retractor 6, drawn out from the retractor 6, and extended across the surface of a seat back 3 from above the seat back 3 to a seat 2 and with the other end fixed to a fixture at a lower position between the lower end of the seat back 3 and the seat portion 2; and a seat belt deflection mechanism 20 which deflects the lower end of the seat belt toward the outside of a vehicle interior by rotating the lower end between the seat 2 and the lower end of the seat back 3 using a coil spring supported on a lower-end fixture member of the seat belt 8 and a deflection arm extended from the coil spring. The deflection arm is positioned while deflecting the seat belt 8 toward the outside of the vehicle interior in an initial state with no occupant sitting. When the occupant sits and wears the seat belt 8, the deflection arm rotates in a seat belt wearing direction while giving biasing resistance. COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
