Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for simply quantifying or detecting a DNA. SOLUTION: The method for quantifying or detecting a methylated DNA in the objective DNA region possessed by a genomic DNA contained in a specimen derived from an organism is provided. The method and the like include: a first step of preparing a test oligonucleotide which is a DNA having the plurality of objective DNA regions present in the genome from the specimen; and a second step etc., of mixing the test oligonucleotide prepared in the first step with a detecting oligonucleotide complementarily binding to the test oligonucleotide, a specific oligonucleotide complementarily binding to the test oligonucleotide, and a support binding to the specific oligonucleotide, and forming a detection complex composed of the test oligonucleotide, detecting oligonucleotide, specific oligonucleotide, and support.
