PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pigment ink for inkjet recording which provides a printed matter of high optical density and does not cause non-ejection caused by aggregation of a pigment even if it is brought into contact with a dye ink before printing. SOLUTION: The pigment ink for inkjet recording includes a pigment and water, and further includes a water-soluble dye. The pigment ink is characterized in that, when 10 pts.wt of an aqueous sodium chloride solution is added to 100 pts.wt of the ink, and when an aqueous sodium chloride solution containing sodium chloride in an amount of 1.0 wt.% is added, the pigment is kept in a dispersed state, and when an aqueous sodium chloride solution containing sodium chloride in an amount of 2.0 wt.% is added, the pigment aggregates.
