PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a white line recognition apparatus capable of preventing wire-breaking from being erroneously annunciated by timely annunciating that communication is interrupted because of stopping of a camera ECU under a high-temperature condition when the communication interruption is made between a camera and the camera ECU. SOLUTION: The white line recognition apparatus is provided with: a camera photographing the surrounding of a vehicle; a camera controller connected with the camera through a signal line and controlling the operation of the camera through communication; a cabin inside temperature acquirement part acquiring a cabin inside temperature when communication is interrupted between the camera controller and the camera; and an annunciator annunciating that the communication interruption is made because a signal line connecting the camera with the camera controller is broken when the cabin inside temperature acquired by the cabin inside temperature acquirement part is less than a predetermined temperature and annunciating that the communication interruption is made because the camera controller stops under a high-temperature condition with the camera controller when the cabin inside temperature acquired by the cabin inside temperature acquirement part is equal to or more than the predetermined temperature.
