Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brushless DC (BLDC) motor having a simple winding structure whose cogging torque is small. SOLUTION: The brushless DC (BLDC) motor has a three-phase winding 20 and six stator teeth 14, 15. The alternately provided stator teeth 14 have wound windings, and the residual stator teeth 15 are left as they have no winding. The winding 20 has a leg every phase, i.e., has three legs in total. Each leg has a coil 22 which is wound around one of the stator teeth 14. The respective legs have first ends A, B, C which are disposed so as to receive power, and have second ends X, Y, Z which are connected with the second ends of the other legs so as to form a star connection 24. The selected stator teeth have grooves in their surfaces which divide these teeth into a plurality of stator poles. The motor can be used for driving the fuel pump for the internal combustion engine of a vehicle, typically. COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
