Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developer carrier, a developing device, a process cartridge and an image forming apparatus that can prevent entrainment of a developer by the developer carrier and can provide an image with a uniform density. SOLUTION: The developer carrier includes magnetic field generating means 25, provided with a plurality of magnetic poles including an agent-separating pole P4 and a scoop pole P6, and a cylindrical hollow body accommodating therein the magnetic field generating means 25 and rotated around an axis of the cylindrical hollow body. The half-value width of the magnetic flux density at both ends of at least one magnetic pole of the agent separating pole P4 and the scooping pole P5 is formed identical to or narrower than the half-value width of the magnetic flux density at a center of the one magnetic pole.
