Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform slicing of an embedding block while automatically replacing a cutting blade by performing carrying of the cutting blade to a holder and sure clamping of the cutting blade. SOLUTION: An automatic slicing device for slicing an embedding block includes: the cutting blade 8; a holder 10 having a mount plate for mounting the cutting blade with a cutting edge 8a being exposed to the outside and a presser plate 61 for pressing and clamping the cutting blade to the mount plate; a moving mechanism which relatively moves the embedding block and the holder to slice the embedding block with the cutting blade; a storage case 9 for storing the cutting blade; a carrying mechanism 11 which takes out and carries one cutting blade from the storage case to the mount plate, and pushes out the used cutting blade from the holder to replace it; and a detection mechanism which detects whether only one cutting blade is clamped in a predetermined position of the mount plate by the presser plate.
