Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem of a conventional bookmark that a reader should pay attention to avoid the falling off of the bookmark when opening a half-read book in a crowded train, and that a string attached to the book body can be used only for the book exclusively. SOLUTION: The bookmark is characterized in that: the paper bookmark is lengthened; an outside fold is formed on the lengthened bookmark; a plurality of holes, through each of which the string is passed are made in a portion leaning to either side of one surface divided with the outside fold; the string longer than the body of the book is inserted into the hole; and the bookmark sandwiches a page of the book in a state of straddling the page using the outside fold, thereby prevented from falling even if the half-read page is opened.
