SOLUTION: In a drive control method of a tire testing machine for testing a tire by driving an electric motor 18 for driving a tire and an electric motor 11 for driving a pseudo-road surface, torque operating, as external force, on the electric motor 11 for driving a pseudo-road surface is obtained when a tire is rotated by applying braking force or drive force to the electric motor 18 for driving a tire, and torque corresponding to the external force is added to the output torque of the electric motor 11 for driving a pseudo-road surface.
