Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lane deviation preventive device capable of changing the control state at an adequate timing when an obstacle is present in front of one's own vehicle. SOLUTION: The lane deviation preventive device for generating the steering torque to prevent any deviation of one's own vehicle OV from a traveling lane includes: a one's own vehicle advancing road estimating means 140 for estimating an advancing road of one's own vehicle; an obstacle recognizing means 130 for recognizing an obstacle F in front of one's own vehicle; a lap amount computing means 150 for computing the lapping degree in the transverse direction between one's own vehicle and the obstacle as the lapping amount; a deviation preventive control reducing means 160 for reducing the steering torque toward the center side of the traveling lane according to an approaching state of the obstacle to one's own vehicle; and a timing changing means for advancing the timing of reducing the steering torque by the deviation preventive control reducing means according to an increase in the lap amount.
