Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vending machine, which can be operated in various operation modes without complicating the structure of a heat exchanger while enhancing the energy saving. SOLUTION: The vending machine 1000 includes: a compressor 1; a gas cooler 2; a cooling expansion means 3; evaporators 4 set in all commodity storages; a heat pump operating condenser 5 set in a part of the commodity storages; a heat pump operating expansion means 6; and a heat exchanger 9 which is formed by inserting a part of a cooling high-pressure, middle-temperature pipe 23 connecting the gas cooler 2 to the cooling expansion means 3 into a part of a low-pressure, middle-temperature pipe 41 connecting the evaporators 4 to the compressor 1, and winding a part of a heat pump operation high-pressure, middle-temperature pipe 56 connecting the heat pump operating condenser 5 to the heat pump operating expansion means 6 around the outer circumference of the low-pressure, middle-temperature pipe 41.
