Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an earphone suppressing deterioration in sound quality and having an audio output section included in an external auditory meatus. SOLUTION: In the earphone 10, at least one portion of an insertion section 12 is inserted into the external auditory meatus of a user in use. A driver unit 30 outputs sound corresponding to a supplied electric signal. The entire driver unit 30 is included into the external auditory meatus when the insertion section 12 is inserted into an expected insertion position in the external auditory meatus. A back cavity 16c is in contact with a rear 30b of an audio output surface 30a in the external surface of the driver unit 30. The back cavity 16c is partially included in the external auditory meatus when the insertion section 12 is inserted into the expected insertion section of the external auditory meatus.
