SOLUTION: The image display device with a peeping type electronic viewfinder which observes an image to be displayed on a display element via an eyepiece optical system is provided with: a field angle setting part which sets a desired field angle; and an image generation part which generates the image based on the set field angle to display the generated image on the display element.
