Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a claw pole type motor in which a stator structure can be miniaturized in a diameter direction: and to obtain a pump using the claw pole type motor as a drive source. SOLUTION: A stator 5 in the claw pole type motor 10 includes: a stator core 51 in which claw magnetic poles 53 adjacent in the circumferential direction extend in reverse direction to each other; a winding wire 52 disposed in a hollow portion 51a of the stator core 51; and an insulating member 54 for electrically insulating the winding wire 52 and the stator core 51 from each other. The stator core 51 and the insulating member 54 are integrally molded to prevent a gap to be formed between the stator core 51 and the insulating member 54, thereby radially miniaturizing the stator 5 of the claw pole type motor 10.
