PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a controller for a power system which uses three power supplies having high reliability, and to provide the power system which uses the controller. SOLUTION: The power system has a first converter 22 for converting an output voltage from a first DC power supply 20 and a second converter 28 for converting the output voltages from a second DC power supply 24 and a third DC power supply 26. The power system, further, has an SMR 2B and SMR 2G (SMR 2P) for switching connection/non-connection, between the positive and negative electrodes of the second DC power supply 24 and the second converter 28, and the SMR 3B and the SMR 3G (SMR 3P) switching connection/non-connection, between the positive and negative electrods of the third DC power supply 26 and the second converter 28. In the power system, a first process of outputting a control signal that makes the SMR 3B connected and SMR 3G (SMR 3P) not connected, and a second process of outputting the control signal connecting SMR 2B and SMR 2G (SMR 2P), after the first process are carried out.
