Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lock which is high in prevention performance against picking and tampering, and improved in crime prevention performance, and to provide a key for use for the lock. SOLUTION: The cylinder lock includes: a cylinder having a keyhole formed therein; an external cylinder rotatably supporting the cylinder; and tumblers which are slidably inserted into a tumbler hole communicating from the keyhole to the cylinder and the external cylinder, for switching rotation of the cylinder between an inhibited mode and an allowed mode. The cylinder lock is characterized in that an axis of the keyhole is formed like a circular arc extending from an entrance in a deep end direction. The tumblers may be pin tumblers or disk tumblers.
