Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper conveying device having a curl addition function that does not deteriorate a paper advancing property even if nip pressure is adjusted. SOLUTION: This paper conveying device is capable of adding a curl to paper by making the paper pass between nips formed by bringing a first roller 101 having an elastic layer into pressure-contact with a second roller 102 formed of a hard member. Small diameter parts 102a are provided at three portions of a shaft direction of the second roller 102. A guide belt 103 is extended between the small diameter parts 102a and a tension roller 104 arranged on a paper conveying direction upstream side.
