Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact and structurally simple apparatus and a method for carrying out continuous product discharge of container packed with more inexpensive rod-shaped products. SOLUTION: An apparatus (10) for carrying out continuous product discharge of a container (14) packed with rod-shaped products to a product discharge magazine (18), etc., has a supply unit (11) for supplying the container (14) packed with the products, a delivery unit (13) capable of conveying the container (14) packed with the products from a container-receiving position (17) to a region of the product discharge magazine (18) and conveying from there to a container discharge position (19), and a taking-out unit (12) for taking out an empty container (16) arranged under the supply unit (11). The apparatus (10) is characterized in that the delivery unit (13) has a cassette (21) and the cassette (21) is vertically movable and turnable and the cassette (21) is formed and provided for retaining containers (14, 16) in whole product discharge processes.
