Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic equipment which includes a shield member made of a conductor installed along a surface of a case in order to protect an electronic component in the case from an adverse effect by electrostatic discharge (ESD) and which can evade instability of operation of the electronic component and damage of the electronic component caused by the static electricity spreading on the shield member. SOLUTION: In the electronic equipment on which a shield member 2 made of a conductor is installed along the surface of a case in order to protect the electronic component in the case from an adverse effect due to electrostatic discharge, a slit 2A is formed on the shield member 2 so that the static electricity applied from the outside may evade the region in close contact with the electronic component on the shield member 2 and spread over the shield member 2.
