Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plant with piping which has a branch that further reduces the pressure fluctuation, based on acoustic resonance. SOLUTION: The plant with the piping that has the branch 11 is a BWR plant 1, for example. It includes a reactor 2, main steam pipe 10, turbine 12, condenser and feedwater piping. The steam generated in the reactor 2 is supplied to the turbine 12 by way of the main steam pipe 10. A vent pipe 15 with a steam relief safety valve 13 is joined to the main steam pipe 10. The joint, located between the vent pipe 15 and the main steam pipe 10, or the cross-sectional area of a flow channel in the branch 11 of the main steam pipe 10 and the vent pipe 15, is larger than those of parts other than the branch 11 of the main steam pipe 10. The expansion of the cross-sectional area of the flow channel of the branch 11 slows down the speed of the steam 16 flowing in the branch 11 and restrains acoustic resonance from occurring there, resulting in the reduction of the pressure fluctuation in the main steam pipe 10.
