PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope system easily updating an image processing parameter. SOLUTION: The endoscope system is provided with: a scope comprising an imaging element, a first processing part for performing preceding stage image processing to image signals from the imaging element and a nonvolatile first memory; and a processor comprising a second processing part for performing post stage image processing to the image signals to which the preceding stage image processing is performed, a nonvolatile second memory, and a volatile memory for updating. In the first memory and second memory, image processing relating data including parameters to be used in the preceding stage image processing and the post stage image processing are recorded. The memory for updating is used to record the image processing-relating data recorded in the first memory when the image processing relating data recorded in the second memory are older than the image processing-relating data recorded in the first memory. When the image processing-relating data are recorded in the memory for updating, the image processing-relating data in the second memory are replaced with the image processing-relating data recorded in the memory for updating.
