Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet polarizer, selectively transmitting only a specified polarization component, and a liquid crystal display device. SOLUTION: This laminated sheet polarizer includes first and second reflection type sheet polarizers A and C, which are stacked and whose transmission axes are arranged substantially in parallel, and a polarized light scattering plate B, wherein the polarized light scattering plate is disposed between the first reflection type sheet polarizer and the second reflection type sheet polarizer, the degree of polarization of the first reflection type sheet polarizer A is larger than that of the second reflection type sheet polarizer, and a matrix phase and a domain phase of the polarized light scattering plate B satisfy the following conditions (i) to (iii). In this laminated sheet polarizer, (i) the matrix phase is optically substantially isotropy, (ii) a slow axis of the domain phase is substantially vertical to the transmission axis of the reflection type sheet polarizer in a plane of the polarized light scattering plate, and (iii) two three-dimensional refractive indexes vertical to the slow axis of the domain phase are substantially the same as the refractive index of the matrix phase.
