Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cargo-handling regeneration device of a forklift capable of quickly increasing rotation of a hydraulic motor provided for a returning line of a lift cylinder and regenerating, which means, charging a battery with an AC current generated by a power generator along with rotation driving of the hydraulic motor via an inverter. SOLUTION: In the cargo-handling device of a forklift, in returning hydraulic oil of the lift cylinder 5 via a control valve 24 along with operation of lowering a fork by a lift lever 11, a control device 30 determines whether target rotation frequency of the hydraulic motor 27 according to an operation amount of the lift lever 11 is larger than the minimum rotation frequency by which generated voltage of the permanent-magnet power generator 28 can exceed battery voltage or not. If the target rotation frequency is larger than the minimum rotation frequency, the control valve 24 is fully opened, and the inverter 29 is controlled to start regeneration after the rotation frequency of the hydraulic motor 27 reaches at least the minimum rotation frequency so as to make the rotation frequency of the hydraulic motor 27 reach the target rotation frequency.
