Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an actuator which can be manufactured compactly even if a lock mechanism is provided therein which can inhibit retraction movement after a support rod is operated. SOLUTION: The actuator, which is structured to move a piston 32, arranged inside a cylinder 18, with the supporting rod 46 by letting a working gas G flow into the cylinder 18, includes lock pins 44, which is stored in storing parts 33 as the lock mechanism which restricts the retraction movement of the supporting rod 46, and an inflow passage part 34, which lets the working gas G that flows into the cylinder 18 flow into the storing parts 33. The inflow passage part 34 comprises a vertical passage 35 formed along the axial direction of the piston 32 and horizontal passages 39 arranged across the vertical passage 35 so as to make the vertical passage 35 communicate with the storing recessed parts 33. Furthermore, a recessed part 40 communicating in series from the vertical passage 35 is provided at the crossing part of the vertical passage 35 and the horizontal ones 39.
