Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent changes in heating conditions for each use, regardless of whether a pan which is to be heated has a diameter substantially equal to that of a first heating coil, or if a user places the pan on the heating coil without being conscious of the diameter of the pan. SOLUTION: A first inverter circuit 6 and a second inverter circuit 7 are controlled, such that the pan to be heated is heated only by a first heating coil 4 or by both the first heating coil 4 and a second heating coil 5, with substantially the same power as that which is provided when using only the first heating coil 4, after a first pan detection means 8 and a second pan detection means 9 determine the diameter of the pan, thereby making it possible to prevent changes in heating conditions for each use.
