Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve precision of analysis by eliminating calculation missing of a pulse signal in a pulse count type detector. SOLUTION: The pulse count type detector is parallelly provided with two counters 26, 27 to calculate pulse signals generated according to incidence of ions and two registers 28, 29 to latch the calculation value of the counters 26, 27, respectively. While calculation of the pulse signals is being made by one of the counters 26, 27, the calculation value of the other counter 26, 27 is cleared, and immediately before clearing , the calculation value is latched to the registers 28, 29. Thereby, missing and overlapping of the pulse signals do not occur, and the calculation value of one cycle held in the registers 28, 29 is added by a data calculation part 32 to obtain a correct calculation value for one cycle period.
