Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a cage rotor which can make the inside of the cavity of a mold into a decompressed state even in vertical die casting, and to provide a production device therefor. SOLUTION: A die 15 whose inside is stored with a rotor iron core 2 is set on a feeding device 10 storing molten aluminum 26, oxygen 27 is fed into the die 15, and thereafter, the molten aluminum 26 is fed from the feeding device 10 into the die 15. When the oxygen 27 is fed into the die 15, the communication between the feeding device 10 and the die 15 is cut-off by a gate plate 17 as a shielding means, and, when the molten aluminum 26 is fed into the die 15, the cutting-off by the gate plate 17 is released, and the feeding apparatus 10 and the die 15 are made to communicate with each other.
